Re: Flash Boards

I hate the me toos that you see in newsgroups but I would like voice that I
am interested in purchasing a flashboard if anyone is successful in
manufacturing them.  I would be interested in a programming board for the
flashboard as well.

Previously I was looking at the page at
http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HpJornada720 which has a link to
http://handhelds.org/download/projects/jornada/720/j720_flash_card/.  There
you will find some gerber files and such for making a flashboard.  I did a
search to see if anyone has made any since this was posted in 2002 but have
not found any.  

I have found many posts such as this thread but it seems that none has bore
fruit.

If this is to move forward perhaps it would be best to coordinate efforts
among those who have expressed interest by creating a dedicated site for
this task and splitting people into teams.  It may also be a good way to
track the progress, skills, funding, and me toos.

Currently I do not have a Jornada but I did purchase a 728 on ebay and am
waiting for it's arrival which should be tomorrow but we are to get 8 to 12
inches of snow which may delay it's arrival.  I am planning on installing
Linux so that I have some control over the OS but am disappointed about the
power control in Linux.

I believe on another thread it was mentioned that it is possible to make a
flashboard with 256 MB of RAM. I have not checked into the addressing lines
to see if that is possible but if it is that would sure be nice.  The
mention of a USB host functionality would be nice as well.  I would like
bluetooth but you can get the USB bluetooth devices which would probably
work out just as well.
