Hi all, Is there any reason to use glibc 2.5 in JLime? With this, support for kernel 2.4 will be dropped (glibc 2.5 do not support linuxthreads)! so, no sound at all for jlime... I'd stick w/ glibc 2.3 or uclibc 0.9.29 (that will be released next week). kernel 2.4 is great! - Mongo To answer all those "Where is mongo!?" pm's/mails/posts... Let me explain our current problem. The program parted that is needed for the automated installer is not working currently. It seems to have some unknown issue with glibc 2.5 which we cannot bugtrack easily. Instead of wasting huge time on fixing parted (when we all want the release to happen), we are instead trying to create a static parted version. Static means that it is a self contained binary that doesnt require any libraries to be able to run. We can grab a version that we know work, make it static and implement it into the userland. Once we have this parted version we will be able to release mongo 1.0.0 without much delay. - bye, rafael diniz -- +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- Eng. da Computação @ Unicamp Rádio Muda, radiolivre.org, TV Piolho, tvlivre.org, www.midiaindependente.org Chave PGP: http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x2FF86098 +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- _______________________________________________ jornada mailing list [email protected] https://handhelds.org/mailman/listinfo/jornada
