Hello all, I have bought a Jornada in 2004 but I was lame and I couldn't get a serial cable/cradle. The device was left lying in a drawer with a bootldr installed (unusable) for almost 3 years. A colleague got interested in it, ordered a cable and flashed WinCE back. I have seen that there is a new opie image, I installed it and it looks quite nice. (probably much better than it might have looked in 2004) In the meanwhile I realized that the old documentation written by Josiah Ritchie (and referred to in the handhelds.org wiki) is gone. He didn't respond to my mail yet. It took some time to find out some details. Therefore I would like to ask: - may I write a simple howto in the handhelds.org wiki? - Alex: may I use/include/modify your initial 'howto.pdf' found in the ML archives? - is there anything (legal issues, copyright) that should be taken into consideration? - all: would you be so kind to revise, and if necessary, correct or extend this howto? regards Gabor ps. Alex - this year, I will travel to Munchen quite often. If you don't mind, I would be more than happy to have a beer with you. ;-)
