Greetings, Actually I've gotten a new idea concerning that problem. I was too quick to think it was a major kernel bug when infact it might be a simple one. The kernel contains identification numbers that helps it to decide what card is currently inserted, theres a strong chance the codes for your 2GB card is simply not in that database and as such it wont be properly detected or work. The proper way to fix this is quite simple, I just need the info about your card. I've made a small howto below on howto obtain it. I've already received confirmation on one card made to work. What I need from you, is the following: 1) bootup using your 512MB CF card 2) insert the 2GB card using a CF->PCMCIA adapter 3) give me the output from /sys/devices/platform/sa1111.0/1800/[Bus id] : (the new card will be one of the bus ID's) (from within the folder) cat prod_id1 cat prod_id2 cat modalias and send them to me. Its not 100% that this will solve your issue, but theres a good chance.
