took a little longer now. But you probably weren't idling around waiting
just for
me :-)
1. libwnck -- Seems this was a premature reaction by me. Sorry for that.
It
came out that my modifications (which included
commenting
out about the entire body of the
main_client_reparent() function)
broke that functionality. By (accidentally, *ahem*)
wiping my
work I had to start over, did it right that time, and
had it working.
So your EWMH stuff is in perfect working order. Thanks
for it :-)
2. configure -- Taking out "--enable-keyboard" indeed helped. What I did
notice
though, is that when you enable building with startup
notification,
it says "No" in the summary. But when building, you
can see -I's
and -l's scrolling by which include the startup
notification stuff.
Probably just a nuisance.
3. focus -- One thing I couldn't quite figure out: how do you have the
window
manager (a) recognize a specific window (should that
kinda stuff
always be done through hints?) and then (b) set the
input focus
to that window?
Overall I'm very grateful and impressed by your work. I've looked into
nearly
two dozen window managers for this, half of which were nothing but unusable,
the other half of which did mostly the same thing. I got to admit they were
vary-
ing in bloat though :-)

The third from the bottom up shows best the current status, although it's
still
running on a hacked aewm without EWMH support, so the panel was not working
