Dose Match box have to work with X server?

Hi all:

     I wonder that whether MatchBox have to work with X server? Or I could
tweak somewhere so that Matchbox could work with other widowing system. Now
I am working on building an embedded GUI system for develop-board. I was
trying to grab TinyX, Matchbox and uclibc together. Dose anyone know any
useful documentation? If you do, please share 'em with me. Thx a lot in
advance.
