Greetings. I have been working on getting matchbox running on an embedded PanelPC running FreeBSD 4.11 from a CompactFlash card. Another guy and I have 2 different images. One is an image taken from an install done on a different computer. With some tweaks to the XFree86Config file and the addition of penmount drivers for the touch screen, it works. The other is a stripped-down FreeBSD for embedded PCs. Without a .xinitrc file, it loads the default window manager (twm i think) just fine. When I try to use matchbox, the cursor changes from the 'X' to the arrow, but no window pops up. We are using matchbox-window-manager-0.9.5 and libmatchbox-1.7. There are no error messages. Have you encountered this before and is there any 'verbose' mode to better diagnose what is going on? Thank you. Jordon Hofer Dir. Software Engineering AgSense LLC
