Ok, that probably won't be for a while then :-P.  I'm just looking for
something to run on top of the PSP firmware so I can do things like browse
the internet and use IM clients.

You'd need to get an X Server and Xlibs running on the PSP first.
That would certainly be non trivial - it would likely be easier to get
it booting Linux then a mb port would be relatively trivial.
