You made me doubt my inital finding, so I checked to make sure that I was using the latest usbcore.ko driver (I was). Then I checked to make sure that the behavior was the same regardless of whether the unit was charging (no difference).

My dmesg output when plugging in the offending USB flash drive:

usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using pxa27x-ohci and address 4
usb 1-2: no configuration chosen from 1 choice

And the entry in /proc/bus/usb/devices for the USB flash drive is:

During OEDEM I took SL-C3000 (spitz) from Mickeyl (he got SL-5600 (poodle)
instead). so now I'm able to test spitz stuff:

With my new BT dongle from Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo I got:

hub 1-2:1.0: insufficient power available to use all downstream ports
usb 1-2.2: new full speed USB device using pxa27x-ohci and address 6
usb 1-2.2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
input: Logitech Logitech BT Mini-Receiver as /class/input/input5
input: USB HID v1.11 Keyboard [Logitech Logitech BT Mini-Receiver] on usb-pxa27x-2.2
hub 1-2:1.0: 48mA over power budget!
usb 1-2.3: new full speed USB device using pxa27x-ohci and address 7

But this probably is because this dongle has internal hub. Tomorrow I will
check with other USB devices.
