I can help with poodle testing. I did try 2.6.19+git and found some 
problems, but 2.6.17 has been very stable for me so far. I also have a 
rough version of an altboot script that will boot a kernel installed 
from SD. This way we could install bootstrap on flash and use it as a 
"rescue" partition in case the SD card gets borked. Having / on SD for 
poodles seems to be the way to go. The best part so far is the ability 
to have a stable setup on one card and a testing setup on another, 
complete with new kernels. I am not sure exactly how this would 
integrate into OE. but I am willing to do some thinking on that as well.
