I'm not a developer, but I've been building opie packages for my collie out of .dev and I have a few things to say: Opie does work with qte-mt, but there are many .bbs that require adding LDFLAGS += "-lstdc++" when using it. KO/PI and KA/PI do not build against it, and those are my two main apps, so that's a deal breaker for me. Is there any reason for using it, besides having a more current version of konqueror-embedded? SDL games (I've tried scummvm, abuse, and freedroid) require libsdl-qpe to run in Opie. When linked against libsdl-x11 they all error out with "no available device" or some such. Scummvm is unusable on the collie with the .bb currently in OE, due to it trying to use a 640x480 display. I tracked down the .bb used to produce the Opie package available from scummvm.org and it disables the software scalers, which allows the app to run. Personally, I don't see any reason to have another release of OZ. unless the non-collie machines are poorly supported with the current release. I would like to see the recent bugfixes in Opie packaged up, though. Ed -- F. Edward Barrett - [email protected] "Hold on to your hats, friends.
