I agree, there won't be much difference between xscale and arm4, but when I 
just used bitbake here I got arm-v3. Perhaps I am doing something wrong with 
bitbake?

Ok, I've just looked at the .ipk from the oz feeds, and it does have ldrh in 
it, so I guess I can't drive bitbake.
