Now I am thinking about loading newer firmware for Prism2 based cards during

I just checked Angstrom images from

http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/unstable/images/collie/20070422/

and they still include the 1.4.2 firmware.

As the kernel 2.6 on collie does not support USB yet, ssh over WiFi is the
only feasible way to work on the device.
