It *should* still be fine, assuming that cacko still uses the flash to
boot from. With the 2.4 kernels the booting usually happens from flash
(I'm not sure about cacko, but I assume this still holds). The OZ 2.6
kernel boots from hda1 and never touches flash. So what you do is you
move your cacko to another partition (you can always repartition hda3
into multiple partitions) then change your flash to pivot to your
cacko partition instead of the normal hda1. Then you flash your 2.6
kernel and use kexec with the 2.4 kernel to boot back into cacko. :-)

I use that same procedure for my OZ 3.5.4 (with 2.4 kernel) and OZ
3.5.4+ (with 2.6 kernel).

If you want a spitz 2.6 kernel with kexec I can give you one if you
don't want to build it yourself.
