/dev is under the control of udev under 2.6 and is dynamically created
upon each bootup. We've made changes to make sure the symlink appears in
the next test release.

In the meantime you can add: 

KERNEL="rtc0", SYMLINK="rtc"

to /etc/udev/rules.d/local.rules
