Hi. I have installed the images provided in alpha2 (http://openzaurus.org/wordpress/2006/04/10/second-alpha-release-of-openzaurus-3541/) but I experience some problems with the X/GPE session... Installation and first boot seem to work fine, but afterwards, first login session with the newly created user crash. The screen calibration and user creation have been succesfull, then i can see the icons, but no taskbar, and I quickly get back to the login screen... Xsession seems unsuccesfull. Looking at the .xsession-error in my user account, I get the following messages : (gpe-login:4148) Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_container_add: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed (gpe-login:4148) Gdk-WARNING **:gdk_property_get(): length value has wrapped in calculation (did you pass G_MAXLONG?) Starting sleep daemon: ipaq-sleepmkdir: Cannot create directory `/var/run/no-sleep': Permission denied . sh: /usr/bin/bl: not found root window unavailible (maybe another wm is running?) The application 'gpe-login' lost its connection to the display :0.0; most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed the application. X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown). -last repeated serveral times- ... Maybe the last messages are issued whenever I finally kill with Ctrl+ALT+BS to get back to console to be able to watch the error messages... Anybody with a clue ? How does it run on C3x00 ? (similar hardware as akita) Best regards, -- Olivier BERGER (OpenPGP: 1024D/B4C5F37F) APRIL (http://www.april.org) - Vive python (http://www.python.org) Pétition contre les brevets logiciels : http://petition.eurolinux.org ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
