The JRE (Java Runtime Engine) that came with the Sharp ROM was a J2ME
personal edition by Jeode. It allows only for the most basic java
applications based on the micro-edition (ME) of Java. And it only
supported version 1.1 of Java and even then with only stripped down classes
(i.e. not the full class API). Tomcat 5 requires a full version 5.0 JDK
(not just a JRE) which has never been available on Zaurus (Sharp or OZ or
...)
