Strange error message from ipkg with root-on-SD

Hello,

I have OZ 3.5.4, Opie installed on SD (root on SD).

For other reasons I have link /packages that points to /.

Still, ipkg shows me following warning message:

# ipkg remove qfish2
Removing package qfish2 from root...
file_move: ERROR: failed to rename
/media/card/packages//usr/lib/ipkg/status.tmp to
/media/card/packages//usr/lib/ipkg/status: No such file or directory

How can I tell to ipkg to deal only with / directory and not to even check
/media/card/packages?
