GettingStarted / OZ3.5.4.1 development

I am trying to set up the oz354x development environment without success.

I have followed the GettingStarted here
http://oe.handhelds.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/GettingStarted but when I try to
"bitbake nano" I got a final error when building ncurses "C compiler cannot
create executables".
Also I am not sure if I need the oe-cross-sdk from here:
http://ewi546.ewi.utwente.nl/mirror/www.openzaurus.org/official/unstable/3.5.4/sdk/

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
