Socket 0:
product info: "HITACHI", "microdrive", "", ""
  manfid: 0x0319, 0x0000
  function: 4 (fixed disk)
Socket 1:
product info: "Linksys", "Wireless CompactFlash Card", "", ""
  manfid: 0x028a, 0x0673
  function: 6 (network)

Hmm... there is something wrong with pccardctl too, it segfaults when
I do something besides 'ident':

    root@spitz:~# pccardctl
    Segmentation fault

    root@spitz:~# pccardctl --help
    Segmentation fault

When my AP goes out of reach, I get:
eth0: New link status: AP Out of Range (0004)

And, hopefully, later:
eth0: New link status: AP In Range (0005)

The AP is just around the corner (no direct line of sight), and the
wifi card was pointed at the AP, at a distance of 3 meters. That
shouldn't cause an "Ap Out of Range" error IMO. "iwlist scan" gives
me:

    eth0 Scan completed :
          Cell 01 - Address: 00:11:E2:00:C4:47
                    ESSID:"heggerankweg"
                    Mode:Master
                    Frequency:2.432 GHz (Channel 5)
                    Signal level:52/153 Noise level:25/153
                    Encryption key:off
                    Bit Rates:1 Mb/s; 2 Mb/s; 5.5 Mb/s; 11 Mb/s

I don't know about the orinoco levels - I'm used to seeing the
hostap's dBm levels, but 52 out of a possible 153 seems like a good
signal to me.
