help bitbaking bootstrap-image on org.openembedded.oz354x

I'm trying to learn how to use the OE tools to build an openzaurs
distribution for a tosa.  I'd like to use kernel 2.6.

It dies w/ the following message:

I'm not sure how to read it, but I *think* it's telling me that there
were several recommendations that it couldn't satisfy but that it died
because it couldn't satisfy the wlan-ng-modules-usb requirement.

So, I have two questions:

 1) how do I fix this?


 2) What's the proper branch/distro/config on which to learn how to
    use an manipulate the bitbake tools?

    FreeBSD has a -STABLE branch which should always build and a
    -CURRENT branch which is more, uhm, flexible.  I figured the
    ...oz354x branch would be more stable then ...dev, but I don't
    seem to be able to get anything to fully build (opie-image croaks
    w/ a conquerer problem...).
