I apologize for following up to my own posts, but I've done a bit more detective work and could use some feedback. I cd'ed into the directory in which qemu-native was working when it died /home/hartzell/openembedded/tmp/work/qemu-native-0.7.0-r1/i386-user and grabbed out of the log file the gcc invocation line that exploded. If I run it as is, it generates the same error (nice positive control). If I remove the -O2 from the optimization line then it creates the .o as expected. Adding back a -O causes the problem to occur again. This seems to argue that there is a bug in Fedora Core 4's gcc (rpm -q -a tells me I'm using gcc-4.0.2-8.fc4). Is there a way that I can tell bitbake to not use any optimization flags when it builds qemu? Thanks, g. ------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
