What Zaurus should I buy?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for the right Zaurus to buy. I'm not going to use it as a PDA in any conventional sense; the only purpose of the purchase is to prototype software on it. My wish list includes: -the ability to try both 2.6 and 2.4 kernels -compact flash slot with known compatibility with compact flash wifi cards -as much community/OpenZaurus developer experience as possible; an older, better understood device would be preferable to a more powerful, newer, less understood one.
