newbie install problem

I have a Zaurus 5500 I picked up off eBay and would like to install OpenZaurus. I followed the instructions located at http://wiki.openzaurus.org/Collie/Install and am having no luck. From a windows systems I formated a CF card using for "format e: /FS:FAT" to make sure the card was formated correctly. I only formated the card because of the troubles I am having. I downloaded zImage-48-16<http://ewi546.ewi.utwente.nl/mirror/www.openzaurus.org/official/unstable/3.5.4/images/collie/zImage-48-16>and named it zImage on the CF card. I then downloaded gpe-image-3.5.4-collie.initrd.bin<http://ewi546.ewi.utwente.nl/mirror/www.openzaurus.org/official/unstable/3.5.4/images/collie/gpe-image-3.5.4-collie.initrd.bin>and named it initrd.bin on the CF card. The CF card only contains the two files and they are in the root directory. I place the card in the Zaurus 5500 and follow the instructions, the lights never blink. What can be the problem?
