i've had all kinds of grief today trying to get a decent touchscreen
calibration with 3.5.4.2-rc1 on my tosa. as i've already mentioned,
it commonly hangs during install when doing that final screen-centre
calibration. at that point, just resetting and letting it boot
normally will probably work, but there's no guarantee that the
touchscreen will behave sanely from then on.

(early on, one of my attempts resulted in a system for which the
calibration was off badly enough so that the pickboard was shifted off
by about one key width. that was exciting.)

i do notice on this web page:

http://wiki.openzaurus.org/ReleaseNotes/Oz3542

the note under "Tosa" that "touchscreen is not linear". what does
this mean?

rday

UPDATE: i just tried a fresh re-install and, this time, the
calibration completed, the install completed, and calibration looks
good. go figure.
