It seems it was the syntax, the line should start with "FILES_zsafe",
not just "FILES".

Anyway, I think I am done with it.

It is not perfect (it still spits out some warning messages) but it
builds a zsafe and creates an IPK file that is installable and gets
you a running zsafe.

I had to settle into building a non-quicklauncher version, although
somewhere in the build process it is still considered so and that is
the cause of the warning messages, but I tweaked and tweaked the *.pro
file (I learned how to create patches with quilt and stuff) and I
couldn't convince it that it was not a quicklauncher application, even
after setting the line:

CONFIG -= buildQuicklaunch

Because of this OE creates a soft link to quicklauncher but then I
tweaked the 'do_install' function to remove it and put the binary
instead. :-)
