iAudio X5. Though that's probably not the answer you wanted :-)

For the two version of OpiePlayer, one refuses to play Ogg Vorbis, the
other Segfaults on exit. My main issue with xmms is that the UI is too
small - if I'm using the Z as a media player, I want really big buttons
for start/stop/next track etc.

Opieplayer is also very slow at recovering from wakeup. I've had a
problem where I was playing it on the way to a meeting, shutdown the
Z for the meeting, then at the end got it out to check my calendar.
It started playing the Imperial March again pretty quickly, but took
about a minute to respond to my attempts to get it to stop.

The command line players have worked reasonably well (ogg123 etc),
but again they're difficult to use if you want to use it as a
media player.

In the end however, I resorted to buying a dedicated media player,
which also has the advantage of having a much bigger disc capacity.
It has the disadvantages of needing to carry around two devices.
