Yes. It did suspend during my tests, where timeout was set at 5 seconds. 
Today I tried with 10, 60 and 600 (the default in the distribution), and 
it also suspended correctly at approximately the right time (I didn't 
have the time and also didn't think it was worth checking it exactly). 
Well, a boxer doesn't have an HD, so YMMV, but if I were you I'd give it 
a try.
