All right. I'm all for making this list subscribe only as well, so I'll put my 
time where my mouth is: I am voluntering to moderate messages from users not 
subscribed to the list, assuming this setup is possible with sourceforge. 
That is: only messages from unsubscribed posters have to be moderated, others 
are send through immediatly. I am guessing that >90% of the messages that 
need to be moderated are spam, so a delay there is no issue. There will of 
course be a bit of a delay for legitimate posters, but I think that all in 
all, that is a reasonable price to pay.
This should take the burden from the other subscribers here who are annoyed by 
spam, and give me the opportunity to do something back for the community.
