You've found your answer about SHDC. I can add that the PXA software
driver doesn't support 4 bit mode yet but the C3x00 and C1000 hardware
does and could take advantaged of this. 4 bit MMC is supported by the
Linux core. The Zaurus hardware should also be capable of SDIO if the
software support were present in Linux.
