I spent some time trying to figure out what's going wrong... There appear to be a number of problems all piling up: - The index may be garbled. Since Berlios denies access to the php shell command, I have no way to run the maintenance scripts to check and reset. I suppose can try to hack around it by writing one-off scripts... ick. - MediaWiki 1.5.8 has some search issues. (like, why insert a colon before $term in SpecialSearch.php?) - In our inexperience we tried to use hierarchy to impose order. That's not the wiki way. We should have allowed pages to be named whatever is relevant, then used categories to impose order. Searching on "HowTos/Vnc" works. In short, it's some sort of combination between crusty MediaWiki 1.5.8 and crusty Berlios. Marcin, any chance of moving wiki.openzaurus.org to linuxtogo? Being able to upgrade to 1.9.3 would be nice and would almost certainly give us much better indexing.
