Oh, indeed - QTE is GPL or proprietary only, so if I want any modifications I make to get back into the base distribution, I need to explicitly license it to Trolltech. The downside to this is that it makes it very difficult for Trolltech to benefit from community work. Producing a GPLed version that was more featureful than the proprietary one would be an awkward business policy, so we end up with things like the slightly weird Opie/Qtopia split. > And is that Linux 6.3 you are talking about? "Linux" as opposed to Windows or MacOS X versions - they've never been released under the QPL, to the best of my knowledge. (I'd tend towards "hypocrisy" rather than "irony", really. Criticising Nokia for something that your own company claims the right to do under certain circumstances is a bit excessive) -- Matthew Garrett | [email protected] _______________________________________________ http://opie.handhelds.org/cgi-bin/moin.cgi/DeveloperWikiIndex Opie-devel mailing list [email protected] https://handhelds.org/mailman/listinfo/opie-devel
