Dear all,

I try to compile OPIE for my iPAQ5400 using
 1. crosstool gcc-3.4.1-glibc-2.3.3
2. qt-2.3.10
3. opie-1.2.0
I can sucessfully compile qt2.3.10 , but fail during opie-1.2.0 with the
following error:
 /opt/crosstool/gcc-3.4.1-glibc-2.3.3/arm-softfloat-linux-gnu/lib/gcc/arm-softfloat-linux-gnu/3.4.1/../../../../arm-softfloat-linux-gnu/bin/ld:
ERROR: /root/cheong/qt-2.3.10/lib/libqte.so uses hardware FP, whereas
libqpe.so
.1.5.0 uses software FP
/opt/crosstool/gcc-3.4.1-glibc-2.3.3/arm-softfloat-linux-gnu/lib/gcc/arm-softfloat-linux-gnu/3.4.1/../../../../arm-softfloat-linux-gnu/bin/ld:
failed to merge target specific data of file /root/cheong/qt-2.3.10
/lib/libqte.
so
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [/root/cheong/opie-1.2.0/lib/libqpe.so.1.5.0] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/cheong/opie-1.2.0/library'
make: *** [library] Error 2
Could anyone give me some suggestion? Which cross compiler can successfully
compile the above QT + OPIE without error?
My crosstool configuration is liked this:
Configured with: /root/downloads/crosstool-0.38
/build/arm-softfloat-linux-gnu/gcc-3.4.1-glibc-2.3.3/gcc-3.4.1/configure
--target=arm-softfloat-linux-gnu --host=i686-host_pc-linux-gnu
--prefix=/opt/crosstool/gcc-3.4.1-glibc-2.3.3/arm-softfloat-linux-gnu
--with-float=soft
--with-headers=/opt/crosstool/gcc-3.4.1-glibc-2.3.3/arm-softfloat-linux-gnu/arm-softfloat-linux-gnu/include
--with-local-prefix=/opt/crosstool/gcc-3.4.1-glibc-2.3.3/arm-softfloat-linux-gnu/arm-softfloat-linux-gnu
--disable-nls --enable-threads=posix --enable-symvers=gnu
--enable-__cxa_atexit --enable-languages=c,c++ --enable-shared --enable-c99
--enable-long-long
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.4.1

Regards,
Edward Chan
