hi, this mail contains some questions about how to get involved. I'll rebuild my openembedded tree, so I'll be able to maintain gsmtool and also use roberts additions. I think, I did it the wrong way: I fixed&patched gsmtool, used it for half a year so i was sure it works. then I added my patch to the buglist. but on the other hand, i think you opie-admins dont's want to add one patch after the other. => how should it be done? glue patch on bug-ticket and wait for people to try, or ask opie-admins to put it in cvs, and after a bug report, do it again? > >Second point is who adds openembedded packages? Should a make a .bb targetting a certain cvsdate? Or should I wait with a .bb until the next opie release? Is it ok to update my .bb with a cvsdate at every cvs-checkin? What's then the policy on touching other maintainers applications? Currently, I wouldn't dare to change other's files. E.g. I have a simple addressbook-integration for gsmtool, should I mail the maintainer, the list or add it myself with #ifdefs?
