You can't compile opie against qtopia libqpe, it's not compatible. You cant 
run opie apps on qtopia without modification and recompiling.

I am not alone in this. Many people are merely quiet about this.

no. is Ez-X compatible with Qtopia?

difference is the same between qt and qtopia, or qt and kde.

Qtopia IS use case tested and tested.

 _every_ development house is in the same situation. Its a juggle between 
developers needing more time, sales/customers that need it yesterday. This is 
the real world.

One always has to weigh time vs. quality. Even with Qt. Qtopia is even more 
so, its customers are different and even more demanding.

Qt is a toolkit to build software. Qtopia is a software platform/framework 
built on the toolkit. Qtopia is mainly software applications built with qt 
toolkit. This is the difference.
Think of the relationship between Qt and Kde. Same difference.

Qt and Qtopia have two very different types of customers as well.

_every_ software has its bugs. 
I do not think the quality of Opie, where developers have all the time in the 
world, is any significantly better than Qtopia.
