Good idea. In that case only the last page would be lost.

That's a kernel problem.

What are touchpad points?

That's a kernel problem. Sane backlight drivers should restore the last
value before sleeping.

Are you using alsa or oss on that device?

That's a qte and opie problem which could easily fixed in OE. It needs
properly configuring qte and opie default sizes like we do for Zaurus
VGA devices.

Multikey isn't related to language settings, Multikey always comes with
all charsets - that's probably something we chould change ?

That's a ODevice problem. Someone needs to make a patch to add hx4700 to
the Opie device abstraction layer.
