The symptoms were similar to those described by Brian Wang:

but since I didn't experience this personally (it happened on
LifeDrive, T3 and Zire 72 as seen in
http://hackndev.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/hackndev/linux4palm/linux/trunk/kernel/power/console.c?view=log#rev647),
I'm unable to give more information. The file history shows first a
fix for the hang during suspending and then more fixes for the
resuming, and the lockups can be explained by the source llines from
qt and kernel/power/console.c (provided VT_CONSOLE is enabled).
