Hi, Hope I've got the right place - here goes..... I've just installed opie on my iPaq 2210, and when I'm using the pen, the recognition seems to keep having glitches. For example, when writing in sketch book, I can write a word at the bottom of the screen, and then at the end, when I take the pen off the screen, it gets a 'false reading' of pen position at the top of the screen - which would suddenly put a line up to the whole screen. This makes handwriting recognition effectively unusable because it keeps getting false readings....? I know the device isn't faulty because it works fine under windows - my guess is that windows is performing some form of dampening, e.g. if the pointer moves 'impossibly' far from one clock tick to the next while writing, then ignore the input.... I've read that opie doesn't use X, and so presumably this is something that needs to be written to the opie list directly..... I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem...? Many thanks in advance... Carl Beech. _______________________________________________ Open Source User Interface and Apps built on Qt Embedded Opie mailing list [email protected] https://handhelds.org/mailman/listinfo/opie
