Ok so after rebooting the iPAQ I now connect!!! but nothing happens?? I check
on my iPAQ and there are no xml files under Applications/<app> so I know there
is no transfer at all. Logread doesn't even show the connection attempt at all
BUT if I do a tcpdump I get this:

# tcpdump -i usb0
tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode
listening on usb0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes

So I know it's connecting or at least accessing the device somehow. I changed
my config to reflect exactly what I see on the opie site for the SyncingHowto.
I've also tried connecting manually but I can't seem to pass the PASS option
form command line properly:

# telnet 192.168.68.7 4243
Trying 192.168.68.7...
Connected to ipaq (192.168.68.7).

for the sake of testing I've made my password for root, rootme but something
isn't working right.

So far it seems I'm talking to myself but I figure I'll post whatever I can
just in case anyone else runs into this ... so far it's looking like a bug
frmo Opie but I'm not sure.

regards,

Lonny
