My skills as a programmer are very limited, but I tried (beta-tested?)
OPIE on my asus a716 (and I still use it occasionally) and wrote some
documentation (installation instruction, FAQ) for it.

I really fear OPIE failed to deliver a useful pda OS (sorry to sound
rude, I'm just trying to be honest, I can elaborate on this however if
you want).

Besides it's possible that OpenMoko will definitely obsolete OPIE, but
I still follow the development and if thing start moving again I will
try to contribute (documentation mostly).

If this level of involvment is high enough I'll be glad to be counted
among the OPIE community.

PS
I do not think OpenMoko will be developed for an old plattaform like
the asus a716 so I'm probably stuck with OPIE anyway ;)
