How are people using multiple Google calendars?

I'm curious, and this seems to be a good place to ask, since we are all (almost
by definition) "advanced" calendar users.

I currently have two gmail accounts (one personal, one for work) and four
google calendars (one for each gmail account, one that is associated with an
email address, and one that is a work team). This is too many, but so it goes.
Right now, my personal gmail account can see and modify all of my gcalendars,
and that's how I see them in Pimlical.

I guess I need to go through and file all of my pre-existing events and put
them into one of the calendars so they'll end up on my phone. Is that the right
approach? Do it all at once with a batch recategorization?

I'd like to have the default for new events be something that ends up on my
phone, not "unfiled" ... is that possible?

The real confusion for me is how to make my time look as blocked out as it is,
in case people try to schedule me into something. I don't want the details of
appointments visible, but someone trying to add to the team calendar should see
when I'm out of the office...

Suggestions and discussion welcome.

Best,
chris
