In the MENU > Preferences > TimeZones,

Set the Current and Create TimeZones to "Home Time Zone".
Set the "Home Zone" to YOUR local zone.

Ensure the "Add 2nd column for local time" tickbox is ticked.
Tick "Adjust Alarms" if you want alarms to go off at the new time.

Now go back to the DateBk entries that need to be adjusted, and, tap
[Details], and as well as setting the date and time to THEIR correct
timezone, at the top right hand corner, tap the zone button and set her
correct timezone.

Now, you should have TWO time settings for her entry. The first is
YOUR local timezone, the second is HER actual time. This reduces the
horizontal amount of space, but text will wrap, and it instantly tells
you when they are so you don't have to do any math to work out if it's
in the middle of the night.

If you don't care about this, untick the "Add 2nd column for local
time" box and only the *corrected* time (how it appears in YOUR
timezone) will appear.

As a side-note, ensure you have the correct australian timezone
settings, this should have been corrected with the later versions of
Pimilical, but I've checked with DateBk, and it still refers to the
*old* australian daylight savings setup.

WORLD TIMEZONES
.G 1110 1104 Australia (NSW, VIC, SA, TAS, ACT)
+08:00 WA
+09:30G NT, SA, Broken Hill
+10:00 Qld
+10:00G NSW (except Broken Hill), Vic, Tas, ACT

Incorporate this into YOUR Palm timezone file (in the Memo area, under
the Datebook category, there is an entry called "WORLD TIMEZONES".

Look for the existing .G line (line 2), and replace any existing lines
with new .G DST line above. Remove any existing Australian zone lines,
and replace with the ones above.
Note that the town of Broken Hill is physically located within the NSW
borders, but is classed as in a different timezone.
Other than that, place your friend in whichever state she lives.

The above timezone/DST rules are correct as of a few years ago, but you
could be forgiven to think differently. Daylight Savings here at one
stage changed three times in as many years, and there has been a great
push to introduce DST into Western Australia. They tried that three
times so far, with different date rules to the rest of the country as a
test. And failed each time. (the government likes it, the people
evidently don't).

But you never know, so hang on to your hats, it might change again...
