I want to second what Barbara said. Moving from Datebk6 to Pimlical is actually 
pretty easy and best done while you are still using Datebk on your Palm PDA. I 
am a writer, not a tech guy, so when I say easy, I mean that you should not need 
any tech expertise at all. Just download and install Pimlical on the computer 
that you use to hot sync your Palm. Read the checkoffs carefully as you do the 
installation, but my memory is that it is pretty much automatic. Pimlical will 
use the databases that the Palm Desktop uses, and you will have the choice at 
any time of using either Pimlical or the Palm Desktop on your computer. Any 
changes you make using Pimlical will be moved to your Palm on the next hot sync.

I would only warn you of two things: First do not have Pimlical and the Palm 
Desktop open at the same time. You can do this, but the danger is that you could 
mess up your data by having two applications accessing the same database at the 
same time. 

Second, you should shut down Pimlical before doing a hot sync. This allows the 
databases to be updated with changes made in Datebk6 since the last hot sync.

At the present time you do not have to "migrate" to pimlical from Datebk6.

You can run Pimlical on your desktop [assuming at the present time that 
you have Windows, even thought it is a Java application] and sync it 
with your TX. This gives you the Palm to carry and Pimlical works as a 
desktop application for the TX.

Now, can you carry pimlical WITH you? I do on a mini-computer running XP 
and Bert Latamore does on a Vaio UX running vista
