Perhaps, but it means I also won't be able to contact them for tech support, if needed. Their published contact information is wrong, since we certainly can't fax them a message, either, if all other contact methods fail. In any event, if they're not getting email from Paypal, they've got a bigger problem to solve.

I had a similar problem trying to get Blue Nomad to respond to a support request for Backupbuddy and found their web site (which was up until a few months ago) was still advertising their products, listed phone numbers that were disconnected and a US mail address that turned out to be a box at a UPS store in Santa Monica. I found other customers who had (then) recently purchased licenses and had not received anything and couldn't contact anyone to find out why. As of a few minutes ago, Palmgear, and others are still selling licenses, yet the company is long gone and there certainly is no support available.

I'm not modifying anything. The author has my money, still don't have a registration key, and still haven't heard from him.
