Try this -

1)Open List View
2)tap the Opt. button,
    select "All" under Include from Datebook DB, and No Ending Date
3)check "Find" and enter Daily Journal
4)tap OK. If you get the dialog box for which views to apply this to  
select "none". Tap the arrow in upper right, tap "pick", and select a  
date as far back as you want to start seeing the DJ's.  Then scroll  
back through until today.
5)tap the diamond icon at bottom left for saved view.
6)tap New, select Ignore Date, give it an icon if you wish, and give  
it a name.
7)tap OK.

That should do it.  Now when you select your Daily Journal saved view  
it should open in List View at todays DJ.  You'll need to scroll back  
in time to see the earlier ones.
