Hi there, You may already know this, but here are my thoughts just in case you are not aware of these issues. I use an iPhone 3Gs, and I also use the iPhone's resident calendar app but I have set it to sync with Google Calendar. Before doing any of this, however, I used CompanionLink to get 10 years of PalmOS calendaring into Google Calendar. Anyway, even though the iPhone's resident-calendar app lacks SO MANY features and options to customize things such as alerts, the iPhone's resident calendar app can READ customized changes-- you just have to INSERT those changes somewhere else (such as Google Calendar). Say, for example, that you would like an alert to trigger, say, 20 minutes before the actual calendar event. If you try to maake that change within the iPhone's resident calendar app, you already know that it is not an option. But that same resident calendar app will still produce an alert 20 minutes before the event ***IF*** you make that change within Google Calendar (assuming you choose to sync this way). So, make your changes on any internet-enabled computer through Google Calendar, and then it will beam down seconds later into your iPhone. So, in order to make even BETTER customizations and refinements to that Google-Calendar-that-syncs-with-the-iPhone system, purchase Pimlical, as Pimlical syncs with Google Calendar.
