An outstandingly helpful and detailed reply for which I thank you most  
heartily (old fashioned language; I'm an old fashioned but digitally  
up to date guy <g>).
Yes, I will most certainly be sure of the specifics vis-a-vis carrier  
and hardware if I make the move, but knowing there are off switches  
available is of great value to me.  Many thanks.
