Wow, Barbara, thanks. You explained it very well and I feel confident that I can do this. I decided to wait till next week to start this whole process, but I'm trying to think it thru NOW. Well, not necessarily. You will need [or at least it will be easier for you] to install Pimlical on to your husband's computer and make sure it has read the information from your Treo. Then you would do something in Pimlical called "Backup Everything" and save that folder somewhere. You can easily put it on a flash drive. > Then I would like to delete Pimlical off his desktop and install it on my Windows 7 laptop to talk to Google and service my new droid phone. Next step would be to do a fresh install of Pimlical on to your Windows 7 laptop. If you are using the same user name there should not be any problem in doing this, either using the same registration code or using "unregistered" version on the XP computer. Then use "restore everything" and you should see all of your data in Pimlical on the Windows 7 laptop. Once you are sure that you have everything the way you want it in Pimlical on your Windows 7 computer you could remove all from your husband's computer, or better, zip it up and save it. NOW that you have Pimlical on the Windows 7 computer is the time to start playing with the preferences, learn how it works, set it up to work with Google calendar etc. Barbara Needham [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ USEFUL LINKS AND WEBPAGES FOR PIMLICODATEBK ------------------------------------------- Post a message: [email protected] Unsubscribe: pimlicodatebk-unsubscribe-hHKSG33TihhbjbujkaE4pw@public.gmane.org Previous messages (view/search): http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pimlicodatebk/messages Pimlico: http://www.PimlicoSoftware.com For information about Pimlical, the desktop calendar: http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/pimlicalpreview.htm To discuss Pimlical, please join the Pimlical group: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/pimlical DateBk4 FAQ: http://www.PimlicoSoftware.com/datebk4faq.htm DateBk5 FAQ: http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/datebk5faq.htm DateBk Cookbook: http://how.to/datebk-cookbook DateBk Wiki: http://oldgods.net/cgi-bin/datebk_wiki Neither Pimlico, the developer, nor the list owner is responsible for content.Yahoo!
