I also had to wean myself off my Treo 680 to my current Samsung Captivate
Android. Pimlical is now available for the android, but I thought I'd wait
till the beta test is over. That and I don't have the 2.0 OS yet for this
Samsung.

If you're looking for something close to Datebk6, I'm using Jorte (free).
Along with Pimlical on my desktop. They talk via google calendar. It's
pretty close to Palm days!

Another android app I really like (well there are a lot, actually) is NoLed,
which shows, when the device is off, when you have notifications (emails,
alarms, messages, voicemail, etc). So I can walk by my phone and glance at
it. If there are lit-up icons dancing around, I know something happened
while I was away from my phone.

"All those old Palm programs that work so well will not work on the newest
devices."

Which is why I weaned myself off of my PDA over the last six months and 2
weeks ago jumped over to droid. I have found some decent replacement apps
for almost everything but the calendar and colossal caves (adventure). Since

my budget is freeware .......... I may never find a nice calendar that fits
me the way Dbk6 did.

Once I get some stuff cleaned off it, I have an old zire72s; Needs a new
battery and new digitizer. If anyone is interested if not, I give to teen
son (hence the budget level) to do with as he wishes, he's a future
engineer/programmer in the making.

Peace, Melinda
ps, I still read posts from group because of useful info that comes through.
