Pimlical for Android alarm question

Hi,

When I set an alarm in the Pimlical app on my Android phone, nothing happens when that alarm's time arrives; nothing. It doesn't ring. No alarm screen appears. Nothing. The Pimlical calendar item includes the alarm icon, as expected, but there is no evidence that the alarm actually goes off.

I have done a bit of searching in this group for information about the alarm feature, but didn't get from that search the help I need to fix this issue. Do alarms work in the Android version of Pimlical, and if so, what setting(s) might I need to adjust to make them work on my phone?

FWIW, I installed a third party alarm app on the phone; that app works fine.
